![]() This free visual resource offers a little more than the standard now and next boards... and helps build independence. To start, you simply fill out the top 'to do' section with PECs cards or your own printed photos (or writing if you're at that stage) and then when your child/student completes each task they can move it down to the 'finished' section. This helps with planning how to complete a number of tasks - or steps in one task - and allows the user independence in completing a whole project with minimal support. Note on sizing: For ease, and use within a communication book if you have one, this is not quite A4 sized. Instead it is just over 6 inches. Print as you normally would on A4 paper and then cut to preferred standards. We like this size as it allows us to keep a sentence strip in view in the communication book. (Sentence strip and page can also be downloaded below, or from the communication book set available here.) Read more below the ad to download.

SchedulesThis part of the website hosts a growing collection of visual schedules which can be printed, laminated and used for free. Use alongside a communication book and PECs or completely independently - do what works for your family.
Visual schedules are an excellent way of helping to prepare, communicate and ease transition/decision-making for those on the autism spectrum, with aspergers, ASD, and indeed many other forms of SEN (special educational needs.) If you are new to using visual resources then please feel free to take a look at our 'communication book' page which has lots of starter pages - in a variety of themes. Categories |
